Upcoming Performance – Around The North Sea February 9th 2025

Join us for our Spring concert, a musical journey celebrating the rich choral music of countries surrounding the North Sea, with Soprano Emma Nash and Accompanist Tatiana Konina. 
This performance features a diverse repertoire by renowned composers such as Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjeilo, Josquin des Prez, and Johannes Brahms. With selections sung in Latin, German, Spanish, French, and English, this evening promises to be an enchanting celebration of choral music.

Highlights include:

• The Ground by Ola Gjeilo, a serene and moving piece based on the chorale from the final movement of his Sunrise Mass.
• Choir favorites such as Morten Lauridsen’s luminous Sure on This Shining Night and James MacMillan’s powerful a cappella anthem O Radiant Dawn.
• The Singer’s Dance by Kim André Arnesen, a vibrant and metaphorical portrayal of singing as a dance, drawn from his larger work, The Wound in the Water, which we will also showcase at our May concert.
